Social Distancing Staycation

Article contributed by Blue Wave Pools, Gulfport, MS

The kids are home from school and many people are working remotely from home. It’s easy to get bored and restless, but it’s also bringing families closer by offering the opportunity to spend quality time together. What’s more fun than splashing away in a beautiful in-ground pool?

Here are a few ways for you and your family to make social distancing fun…

Have a Staycation at Home

While we are following CDC guidelines and staying home. A swimming pool can provide your very own backyard oasis where you and your family can feel as though you’re on a tropical vacation. Add a few tropical drinks, a poolside lounger, sunscreen and a towel to complete the vacation vibe.

Relax & Relieve Stress

Anxiety and stress levels can be elevated during this time. A swimming pool provides peaceful tranquility as you take time out for a leisurely swim or lounge poolside.  Feel the tension float away as you listen to the soothing wave-like sounds or simply gaze into the crystal clear sparkling water.

Stay Active

With many fitness centers closed, the options for exercising are limited. When you have a swimming pool, you have the perfect opportunity to keep fit through water aerobics, lap swimming, or water jogging. Take family fun up a notch with a game of water sports like pool volleyball or basketball.

Enjoy Family Time

Why not make the most of the time spent together as we practice “Social Distancing?” A beautiful inground pool can provide one of the best ways to spend quality time together as a family. Whether lounging poolside, having a barbeque, reading a book, taking a quick break from homeschooling, or just having a conversation, many delightful memories are waiting to be made.

Acadian Homes partners with Blue Wave Pools to offer custom inground pools. The convenience of having the pool constructed before moving in not only saves money by not having to redo the landscaping, it also saves floors and carpets from the remnants of construction.

Not ready to commit to a full-size swimming pool? Ask about a SPOOL, which is approximately 10 to 16 feet long and 6 to 8 feet wide. A spool is smaller than an in-ground pool, but at least twice the length of the average spa. Consider it a hybrid or the best of both worlds.

Call Acadian Homes today to speak with Susan Siemiontkowski, REALTOR with Coldwell Banker Alfonso Realty and our New Home Specialist at 228-239-2621 or visit our website to learn more about our beautiful new Gulfport MS homes. Don’t forget to ask about adding a pool to your brand-new home.
