The Deciding Factors Revealed
When deciding on the choices for Acadian Homes’ custom home Design Showroom, lots of thought and care went into every finish. In the Acadian Homes’ showroom, you will find both hardwood and Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring available for your custom home.
Our communities, Oak Landing and Plantation Oaks, both in Gulfport, MS, have a long list of included features. In Oak Landing, hardwood floors are included and in Plantation Oaks, LVP is included.
We studied the differences between the LVP and Laminate. Both have excellent color choices available. The deciding factor was the difference between waterproof and water-resistant. The product that we selected is 100% Waterproof, dent and scratch resistant and looks very similar to hardwoods.
Waterproof means the floor can withstand any amount of water, from a small spill to a flood, and be just fine. Water-resistant means that it can take on a little water for a short period. Anything after that will more than likely cause damage. This factor is why we elected to offer waterproof LVP vs. water-resistant laminate. The floors come in a variety of colors and design styles from rustic to traditional. In the end, we hope that we have something for everyone.
